Please be advised that Eric Wright Civil Engineering will be working a number of night shifts during the week commencing 18 March 2024, to complete the access ramps and steps to the front of the shops in Market Square.
This area of the site is challenging from a logistical point of view, due to the opening hours of the shops in question. It is therefore our intention to complete the most difficult section of the works from 10 pm (the time of the Co-op store closes) and reinstate the work area to a state whereby access can be restored for 7 am the following morning.
Eric Wright Civil Engineering have considered various options for completing these works and have found that it is not possible to complete the works whilst maintaining access to the shops. EWCE will make every effort to complete the most disruptive/noisy elements of the work within normal working hours to reduce the noise of the night shifts to a minimum.
