Fylde Borough Council is pleased to announce that, against very stiff competition, we have been successful in our bid to government for the Future High Street Fund (FHSF) and have received a provisional offer of £6.3m grant for the regeneration of Kirkham’s high street. Although it’s not the full £9m we asked for, it is still a decent sum which, along with the £3.5m already secured from the HS HAZ, will help transform and revitalise the high street for years to come.
Fylde was the only town in Lancashire to get this funding, despite many other towns applying so this is quite an achievement. Thanks to everybody involved! We now have to prioritise key projects and re-submit the Full Business Case (FBC) to government to get final grant offer, which should take a couple of months.
